Original Vico Magistretti 'Carimate' chair, a fantastic example of late 1950s Italian design.
The carimate chair was designed by Vico Magistretti as part of a restaurant project, for a golf club in Carimate, Lombardy in 1959.
The chair is made from solid beech wood and has a rush woven seat, a design classic.
The chair has been lightly sanded and re-oiled, it is in good vintage condition, it has some unevenness in its finish reflecting its past life however it looks great for its age.
