Rare vintage mid century teak reversible coffee table/seat by David Pye as part of the 'Pleasing' range.
A multi-functional and rather special piece, the coffee table top comes off and can be turned over to reveal a padded vinyl seat. An ingenious design ideal for spaces where seating is lacking.
Incredible quality, the frame is made from solid teak, it has exposed joints on the corners exhibiting the beautiful craftsmanship of the piece.
Designed by David Pye, Professor of Furniture Design at the Royal College of Art and manufactured in Wrexham.
It has been fully restored, a hard wax satin oil has been applied revealing a gorgeous grain to the top of the coffee table. The piece is therefore in great condition with only a few minor signs of wear.
