The item has been fully sanded, oiled and waxed bringing back to its original beauty. Any minor marks and dents have been nicely concealed in the restoration process.
Produced by Czechsolak Furniture, the dressing table carries the CC41 stamp. The CC41 signifies that it was produced under the British government's utility furniture scheme after the the Second World War. The scheme was set up in response to the shortage of furniture following the bombing in the second world war and a shortage of timber. This new furniture was rationed, restricted to newly-weds and people who had been bombed out.
